It's Christmas time and although I'd love to try a buy nothing Christmas, it's just so much fun getting gifts for my 1 year old daughter. I've tried searching online for fun inexpensive gifts, but good ideas are hard to find. So here are my top five for toys that my daughter loves and don't cost a fortune.

1. Plastic bouncy ball about 8 or 10 inches in diameter. I believe it was $2 at our grocery store.

2. Bubbles. best $1 ever spent.

3. Rubber duck for the bath tub. Ours are toddler hand sized and squirt water.

4. Silk scarf - she loves to play peek a boo, wrap it around her, throw it in the air, pull it through a paper towel tube, etc.

5. Small wooden baskets with a handle. She puts stuff in them, prances around with them and then dumps it out.
